How Does Permanent Make-up Work?
 Believed to have started thousands of years ago in the days of ancient Egypt, Permanent Make-up is not a new invention. However never before has the procedure had such successful and pleasurable results. The Permanent Make-up procedure inserts pigment into the dermal layer of your skin, creating a more pronounced look for the area you want treated. In other words, your eyelids can always be more defined, your eyebrows can look thicker, and your lips look more prominent, all without daily applications and touch up of regular make-up.
What Does Permanent Make-up Treat?
Permanent Make-up gives you the make-up look you want 24/7. Permanent Make-up is a great way to even out or emphasize eyebrows that have grown sparse. What Are Permanent Make-up Treatments Like?
Treatment length will depend on the size of the area you are treating. Typical eyeliner Permanent Make-up takes up to 2 hours. Initially the pigment will look much darker than the expected results: this is expected and the pigment will fade to the wanted color. The hand piece used to apply the pigment has been specifically designed for Permanent Make-up and can be used for precise and fine detail such as recreating the look of individual hairs in an eyebrow. Topical anesthesia is used to minimize discomfort. You will be able to return to your normal activities within a day. We recommend wearing sun screen to protect the micropigmentation and to discourage fading.
Does It Hurt and What Can Go Wrong?
Discomfort experienced from Permanent Make-up sessions will very according to individual pain thresholds. However, topical anesthetics are used to minimize discomfort. Some side effects include temporary redness or swelling which is treated with a cold compress. A much less common side effect possibility is having an allergic reaction to the pigmentation.
What should I expect from Permanent Make-up Treatment?
Most people have an almost immediate recovery and resume all of their normal activities within 24 hours. Topical antibiotic ointment is used for a few days. We recommend not using any make-up for a few days as well as avoiding sun exposure. If you wear contacts you will need to use glasses for several days after the procedure if you have Permanent Make-up applied to your eyes.
