Meet the Staff

Laura Pietrzak, MSHS, PA-C specializes in nonsurgical aesthetics and skin care. She is both NCCPA Board Certified and California State licensed. After earning her B.S. in Biobehavioral Health from Pennsylvania State University, Laura received her Master's in Health Sciences and Physician Assistant certification from The George Washington University, which is one of the premier P.A. programs in the country.

Laura has performed many types of non-surgical procedures, and is known for beautifully natural results that delight her patients. Laura's artistry, wealth of aesthetic knowledge, and focus on achieving her clients' cosmetic goals has made her skills highly sought after in the aesthetic field. She is recognized as a leader in her field by the many medical professionals that she has helped to train. Her philosophy expresses her vision: "Aging should be beautiful."

Laura's expertise with the following procedures has helped many women and men look their best with minimal or no downtime: BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport®, injectable fillers, laser hair removal, laser vein treatments, IPL photofacials, Thermage® (ThermaCool), non-surgical body contouring, skin tightening, and non-surgical facelift. She also has extensive experience with facial rejuvenation treatments for concerns such as acne, fine lines, wrinkles, excessive scarring, hyperpigmentation, melasma, and sunspots.

Cory Felber PA-C is an NCCPA nationally board-certified and state-licensed surgical physician assistant trained in a wide variety of non-ablative techniques that complement the work of our surgeons and assist those wanting a non-surgical approach to self-improvement. With her aesthetic and clinical dermatology expertise, she serves adult, adolescent and pediatric patients.

She has her undergraduate degree from UCLA in the field of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. Following UCLA, she attended the Physician Assistant Program at USC School of Medicine, and completed her clinical training at LAC-USC Medical Center. She received her NCCPA national board certification with honors in both general and surgical medicine.

She helps our Los Angeles and Beverly Hills plastic surgery patients look their best through treatments, including: general dermatology, skin rejuvenation, DUSA BLU-U® for acne and pre-cancerous lesions, BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport®, injectable fillers (such as Restylane®, Sculptra® Aesthetic and RADIESSE®), Thermage®, non-surgical facelift procedures, laser treatments for acne and fine lines, laser hair removal, laser vein treatments, Pearl/Pearl Fractional, Fraxel®, IPL photofacials, chemical peels and skin care for acne and anti-aging.

Carla Lovato MS, PA-C is a California State and National Board Certified Physician Assistant and Registered Nurse. She has a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from San Diego State University and a Master's of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences.

Carla has been specially trained in clinical dermatology and non-ablative procedures. Her skills, with precise technique and thorough knowledge, have gained the respect of patients, staff, and others in the community.

She has a great deal of patient experience and a broad medical background. Prior to her studies at Western University, she worked in the very diverse and busy emergency department of Scripps Memorial Chula Vista in San Diego. Her bilingual skills in Spanish and English have been invaluable in helping patients receive the proper care.

Carla's areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, clinical dermatology, aesthetic skin rejuvenation, Dysport and BOTOX, injectable fillers, peels, ThermaCool / radio frequency non-surgical facelift procedures, pulsed dye laser, DUSA BLU-U for acne and pre-cancerous lesions, laser hair removal, laser vein treatments, Pearl/Pearl Fractional laser treatments, IPL / photofacials, Fraxel, Titan, general skin care services and product knowledge for problems like acne and signs of aging.

Rachael Martinez works in our practice as a licensed medical aesthetician and body contouring technician. In addition, she assists our nurses and surgeons with daily functions.

Rachael is very dedicated when it comes to improving patients' overall appearance and thrives on making people feel more confident. She is very hard-working individual and a strong asset to our practice.

Elina Garcia works in our practice to assist the needs of Cory Felber and Carla Lovato, our Physician Assistants. She will prepare for your visit in such a way, that you feel confident and well cared for. Her genuine compassion and sunny disposition, provide an atmosphere of comfort that patients desire, and deserve!

Lilia Shvartsman has been with Marina Plastic Surgery Associates since 1999. She has specialized in aesthetic permanent artistry and skin care for over 21 years.

Her educational background began with a Premier Art School in the Ukraine and her education was completed in New York City. Her innate artistic abilities are exceptionally present with her permanent make-up and tattooing talents. Following Art School, Lilia began to train in aesthetics, and found her true passion was a combination of both worlds – beauty and art – making her a great example of what our industry has to offer!

Ann Yacullo has been a clinical aesthetician for almost 18 years. She was educated in Chicago and became licensed in the state of California in 1994. With nearly 20 years of experience, she has been trained by many highly-respected, very successful professionals in this industry.

Ann is passionate about skin care and helping her clients achieve amazing results. By combining her extensive background in clinical ingredients, together with the latest technical advances, she is able to personalize a successful custom regimen for every client.
