THE ORIGIN OF ONE OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA'S FIRST MEDICAL DAY SPAS
 Dr. Stevens recognized early in his career that there was a need for proper skin care before and after surgery. In order to ensure the very best surgical results, clinical studies proved that if skin was in ideal condition, results would be improved. Furthermore, it was noted that post-surgical patients were so enthusiastic about their appearance, they wanted to "protect their investment". Thus, Grant Stevens' Institute emerged.
Years of medical knowledge, combined with years of patient interviews and input, launched Dr. Stevens' new effort... A Medical Day Spa to benefit residents of Los Angeles and all of Southern California. He pioneered this concept more than 14 years ago, a concept which rapidly spread from Los Angeles all across the country, as it only made perfect sense to partner skin care with a cosmetic surgery practice. This would ideally bridge the gap between non-invasive skin rejuvenating techniques and surgical procedures.
Quickly a new era of skin care emerged, as the patient demand rose. Skin-care manufacturers soon tailored products to meet this need, and eventually a new line was developed, called Cosmeceuticals (products that contained pharmaceutical grade active-ingredients, thus expediting results).
Our "Result Oriented" medical day spa quickly expanded, and soon clients were faithfully coming in for monthly treatments, regardless of whether or not they were having surgery. The results from their facials alone were amazing. Over time Dr. Stevens recognized the need to expand products and add services.
